Giving information about the decision after the Cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told reporters that the Cabinet has decided to increase the dearness allowance of government employees to three percent. 3% DA Hike for Central Government employees
Due to rising dearness allowance, 48.41 lakh employees of the Central Government and 62.03 lakh pensioners will benefit. This increase of dearness allowances is in line with the recommendations of the 7th CPC Central Commission. Allowance has increased according to the acceptable formula.
